The estate
Nestled in Oppedette, at the heart of the Luberon regional nature park, Le Clos du Tuilier is an authentic seventeenth-century stone hamlet that you privatise entirely for your wedding. This exceptional venue is lived in like a family home: you and your guests have the estate all to yourselves, with accommodation on site, for a timeless weekend in Provence. Ceremony, cocktail, dinner, evening party, brunch: each moment finds its space, between the sheepfold, the grounds and the lavender.
One of four wedding venues in Provence in the Home Sweet Event collection.
The right estate
Le Clos du Tuilier is right for you if you dream of a wedding lived as a tribe, surrounded by your closest people for three days.
Here you live together, you share everything, you cross paths from breakfast until the small hours: the spirit of a family house, a grown-up summer camp. It is a collective experience, which means taking the organising on yourself (or delegating it) and falling for old stone and unvarnished Provence.
Not quite what you are after?Compare the four estates
In the grounds you can imagine décor and layouts as you wish. The ceremony can take place on the large plateau facing the panorama, or in front of the lavender field.

The charm of the exposed stone and the authenticity of this space have been preserved to host your evening party, or your dinner in case of rain or wind.

Facing the superb panorama of the green Luberon, the pool and its lounge area will be a highlight of your stay.

What better symbol of Provence than the beauty of a lavender field? The blooming period runs from June to late September, depending on the year.

A petanque area laid out in the spirit of Provencal villages: festoon lighting, flowers, benches and a few tables for keeping score while sipping a classic local aperitif.

Facing the pool, facing the lavender, or in the courtyard and the small lane: it's up to you to decide on the ideal setting for your dinner. Shade sails or a marquee can be set up depending on the weather.

An entire stone hamlet is hard to picture from photographs, and harder still from two thousand kilometres away. Eight of our couples in ten live somewhere other than Provence, most of them abroad, so almost nobody arrives at Le Clos du Tuilier with a clear idea of how the courtyard, the lane and the sheepfold fit together. Planning a celebration you cannot walk through beforehand is genuinely unnerving, and it is the worry couples raise with us first.
Our answer is not to take the planning off your hands. You will organise your wedding your own way, according to your own taste, because that freedom is the whole point of hiring a hamlet rather than booking a venue. What we provide is the toolbox: candid advice on what this place does well and what it does not, one contact who stays the same from beginning to end, and an ecosystem of suppliers who already know these buildings and this light. Every one of them has committed to a charter of ethics, fairness, honesty and reliability. We take no commission on any of them, and you pay them directly at their own rates.
Two things carry most of the trust. The Wedding Shop Days, an annual gathering of two to four days at one of the estates with around forty suppliers, free for our couples and with nothing to sign on site: you eat, you listen, you meet people, and a single weekend spares you half a dozen journeys. And the satisfaction questionnaire every couple receives once their event is over, because a list of recommendations we earn nothing from is only worth something if it is audited by the people who used it.
FAQ
Yes. Le Clos du Tuilier is reserved for you in its entirety, for two to five days: no other group is hosted on the property.
You receive our brochure within 5 minutes of sending the form, then we call you to talk through your project. One single contact follows you from the first message to the last day of your event.
Only for caterers (you choose from our list of around ten partner caterers and private chefs). For every other supplier, no imposed list. We recommend an ecosystem of professionals committed to a charter of ethics, fairness, honesty and reliability, and take no commission: you pay them directly, at their own rates. A moral commitment is all we ask in return, and the satisfaction questionnaire our couples fill in after each event is what decides who stays on the list.
Yes. Facing the Luberon panorama, the pool at Le Clos du Tuilier is a highlight of your stay, with garden lounges, sun loungers and parasols.
The estate's stone sheepfold offers covered shelter in case of rain or wind.
Yes, and it is the normal case rather than the exception: eight of our couples in ten live outside Provence, most of them in another country. One contact follows you from the first message to the farewell brunch, the suppliers we recommend already know the hamlet and its buildings, and we take no commission from any of them, so nothing skews what we tell you. Two visits are usually enough, one before booking and one to settle the details, with the Wedding Shop Days taking care of the meetings in between.
An annual gathering at one of the estates, lasting two to four days, with around forty suppliers from our ecosystem: caterers, photographers, florists, musicians, decorators. It is a party rather than a trade fair. Our couples attend free of charge, with no entry fee, no obligation to buy and nothing to sign on site. You taste, you listen, you meet the people who might work on your day. Everyone who has booked an estate is invited to the next edition and receives the dates as soon as they are set.
From June to late September, depending on the year. The estate's lavender field lies right by the farmhouse, below the ceremony area.
